I have a real soft spot in my heart for the F40. Not only is it an exciting car to look at and to imagine driving but I have had the great pleasure of driving six different ones in 1990-1992... all on various race tracks in the North East USA. What made the owners so generous I will never know for sure but I am deeply grateful to each of them. The fastest I have ever driven was 172 mph while piloting one on the back straight at Pocono Raceway. Braking at the right moment for the 180 onto the infield portion of the course gets real time sensitive when you are gobbling up real-estate at that pace.
